TimePlan Education is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wandsworth from September. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. The role will include providing classroom support, delivering targeted interventions, and working on a 1:1 basis with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs.
We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
The Role
- Support pupils within the classroom to promote learning and engagement.
- Provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs.
- Deliver small group interventions when required.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and social development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting is desirable.
- Experience supporting children with SEN is advantageous.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
