We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Sutton for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.

Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Experience supporting individuals with SEND is advantageous but not essential.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Can commit to the hours between 8am and 4pm.
