We are looking for a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to join our team in Eastleigh, Hampshire, starting in ASAP or September 2025. Our SEMH schools provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs in physical education activities.
- Encouraging and motivating students to participate in sports and physical activities.
- Supervising and ensuring the safety of students during sports sessions.
- Helping to organise and manage school sports events and competitions.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
- Collaborating with other staff members to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A passion for sports and physical education.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
