Are you passionate about sports and education? Do you want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to join our team in Eastleigh, Hampshire, starting in ASAP or September 2025. Our SEMH schools provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in physical education activities.
  • Encouraging and motivating students to participate in sports and physical activities.
  • Supervising and ensuring the safety of students during sports sessions.
  • Helping to organise and manage school sports events and competitions.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A passion for sports and physical education.
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
