We are looking for a fantastic Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding Team in Carshalton. This role is based between a couple of schools and therefore, only suitable for drivers who own a car. This is a specialist role and requires someone with a strong background supporting children and young adults. You will be supporting children who have had a period of time out of school (due to medical needs) and helping them phase back in.
Responsibilities:
- Support students' transition back to school
- Work closely with children on Education Healthcare Plans and class teachers
- Be a trusted adult to that student
- Travel between sites where appropriate
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- A patient, positive outlook on supporting Special Educational Needs
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process one
- Two professional referee contacts
