Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEND SMSA to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Ealing. As a SEND SMSA, you will play a vital role in ensuring pupils have a safe, positive, and enjoyable lunchtime experience. You will support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs, helping to develop their independence, social skills, and wellbeing during break and lunch periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising pupils during lunch and break times.
  • Supporting students with eating, personal care, and mobility where required.
  • Encouraging positive social interaction and engagement in activities.
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.
  • Assisting with behaviour management in line with the school's policies.
  • Working closely with teaching and support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred but not essential).
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
