Timeplan are working with a specialist SEND Secondary School in Harrow, supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of special educational needs. We are currently looking to recruit a full-time SEND PE Teacher / SEN PE Teacher to join the school from September 2026.

The school supports students with a variety of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and social, emotional and behavioural needs. The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Physical Education lessons, adapting activities to suit different abilities and helping students develop their physical skills, confidence, wellbeing and independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher with SEND experience, although applications from mainstream PE Teachers who are passionate about developing their career within special educational needs will also be considered.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PE teaching experience within a secondary school
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND / SEN is desirable
  • Experience supporting students with autism, learning difficulties or complex needs would be advantageous
  • Able to differentiate and adapt PE lessons to meet individual needs
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Online Update Service
  • Enthusiastic, patient and adaptable approach
  • Passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to achieve their potential
