Timeplan Education is seeking a skilled, dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver PSHE and Humanities within a specialist trauma-informed school setting. This long-term supply role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing, inclusive environment and may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school provides high-quality education and pastoral care for primary and secondary pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and trauma-based needs. Having worked closely with the school for a number of years, we can confidently say that supply teachers feel welcomed, supported by the SLT, and able to build meaningful and positive relationships with learners.

About the Role
  • Teaching PSHE and Humanities across the secondary setting.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils with complex SEN.
  • Full-time position: 8:20am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Long-term placement with realistic potential for a permanent contract.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong, proven experience working with SEN pupils, particularly in specialist or therapeutic settings.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills - this is essential.
  • Confident teaching PSHE and Humanities to a range of age groups and abilities.
  • Ability to deliver trauma-informed, adaptive, and nurturing teaching approaches.
