Job Title: Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:15am – 4:30pm, Term Time Only)

Are you a passionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor or SEMH specialist looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are working with a fantastic school in Milton Keynes that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. They are looking for a dedicated, full-time Behaviour Support professional to join their team this September.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans
  • Helping students to engage with their learning and achieve their goals
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Providing consistency, encouragement and emotional support throughout the school day

Qualifications

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
  • Be confident using de-escalation techniques and behaviour support strategies
  • Be calm, patient, and adaptable
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and a team-player mindset
  • Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday (8:15-4:30) during term time
