TimePlan Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher to join a dedicated and compassionate team at a primary school in Islington, starting in January 2025. This school provides a nurturing environment where children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs can thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with additional needs and a strong background in SEMH education. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching for students with SEMH needs in line with the curriculum. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans. Monitor student progress and provide regular reports to parents, carers, and staff. Establish positive relationships with students to support their emotional and social development. Manage challenging behaviours with sensitivity and consistency. Contribute to whole-school strategies for promoting mental health and well-being.The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs in a primary school setting. Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities that arise when working with SEMH children. Excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, patient, and empathetic approach. The ability to adapt and differentiate teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
