TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a large, successful all-through academy in Northampton to recruit an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious department on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and help students achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are motivated to succeed.
  • Monitor student progress and use assessment effectively to inform teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively within a supportive Science department.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement and wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge.
