Timeplan Education are a specialist education recruitment agency seeking an experienced School Minibus Driver to support a secondary SEN school in Exeter. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is confident working with young people with Special Educational Needs and can provide a safe, reliable, and supportive transport service.
The Role: You will be responsible for transporting pupils to and from various activities throughout the school day. The minibus is used multiple times daily, so reliability, punctuality, and a calm, professional manner are essential. You will also play a key role in ensuring students feel safe and supported during their journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to off-site activities and appointments
- Ensure the welfare and comfort of pupils at all times
- Maintain a professional and patient approach, particularly when supporting students with SEN
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people with SEN
- Full UK driving licence with D1 category
- Must be aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes)
- Clean driving licence
- Strong communication skills and a calm, reliable nature
