About the Role
We are currently looking for a Nursery Practitioner to work on an ad hoc basis in nurseries located in Tunbridge Wells. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible work and has experience supporting young children within an early years setting. You may be working with different nurseries, supporting staff teams and helping provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children.
Shift Patterns
Shift hours may vary depending on the nursery's needs. Typical shifts include:
- 8:00am - 6:00pm
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 11:30am - 3:30pm
- 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Shifts are usually provided one week in advance or during the same week, so candidates must be flexible and available at short notice when possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning, play, and development
- Assisting with daily nursery routines and activities
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
- Working alongside nursery staff to support children's wellbeing
- Following safeguarding and nursery policies
Requirements
- Early Years qualification is desirable, but unqualified candidates with relevant early years experience will also be considered
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to different settings
- Good communication and organisational skills
Safeguarding Requirement
Candidates must have a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one prior to starting work.
