The Role:
As the Reprographics Technician, you will be responsible for delivering timely, efficient, and high-quality reprographics services that support teaching, learning, and wider school operations. You will play a key part in ensuring staff have access to the printed and digital resources they need to support students effectively.
Key Duties of a Reprographics Assistant:
- Photocopying & Printing:
- Operate photocopiers, printers, and binding machines.
- Produce worksheets, booklets, reports, exams, posters, and other classroom materials.
- Document Finishing:
- Laminate, bind, and collate documents.
- Staple, trim, and hole-punch materials as required.
- Design Support:
- Occasionally assist with designing materials using software (e.g. Microsoft Publisher, Canva, or Adobe programs).
- Ensure visual quality and accuracy of printed items.
- Stock Management:
- Monitor and replenish paper, toner, and other printing supplies.
- Keep printing areas tidy and organized.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Maintain reprographics equipment and report faults.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues with machines.
- Administrative Support:
- Keep logs of print requests.
- Handle confidential documents (e.g. exams or reports) with discretion.
- Liaise with staff to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- GCSEs (Grade A-C) in English and Maths
- Strong communication skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 in an educational or professional setting
- Previous experience in a reprographics or administrative support role, ideally within a school environment
