About the Role:

TimePlan Education are seeking passionate, flexible, and qualified Maths Teachers to join a number of secondary schools across London for the upcoming summer term, starting in April 2025. These are exciting full-time opportunities to teach Maths to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students. You will have the chance to work within a supportive and cooperative environment, and contribute to the academic growth and personal development of students.

The role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across different age groups and academic levels, and there is potential for the role to continue from September 2025. If you're an experienced and dedicated Maths teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ensure that students receive effective and stimulating instruction that meets the requirements of the national curriculum and examination specifications.
  • Design and implement creative and thought-provoking lesson plans to encourage critical thinking and independent learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching practices and interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and develop schemes of work and resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, particularly in preparation for exams and assessments at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Attend and contribute to regular departmental and whole-school meetings, including professional development sessions.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (essential).
  • Experience teaching Maths across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 is desirable, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting high standards of student achievement.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo a new check).
