Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant

We\’re working exclusively with a welcoming primary school in Sutton who are looking for a Psychology graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant / Specialist Support. This role is all about intervention, emotional regulation, and building strong foundations for learning.

If you want real, hands-on experience (not just observing from the sidelines), this one\’s for you.

The Role

You\’ll be working supporting children at a crucial stage of development. Many pupils have additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH, so your day will be varied, meaningful, and fast-paced.

You\’ll be:

• Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
• Helping pupils develop communication, emotional regulation and social skills
• Using play-based and child-centred approaches to support learning
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals
• Making a genuine impact at the earliest stage of education

We\’re Looking For

• A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
• A strong interest in SEN and child development
• A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
• Confidence to engage with children who need additional support
• Any experience working with children is desirable but not essential
