A supportive SEMH Secondary school in Enfield is seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This role is open to both qualified and unqualified teachers, making it an excellent opportunity for graduates, sports coaches, instructors or aspiring teachers looking to gain classroom experience. You will need to have experience of delivering Cambridge National Sports Studies or GCSE PE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured and engaging PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Promote positive behaviour and participation
  • Differentiating activities to meet varying abilities
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Support extracurricular sports activities where possible
  • Monitor pupil progress and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
  • Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people (school, coaching, sports or youth work)
  • QTS not essential – unqualified teachers welcome
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Passionate about physical education and student wellbeing
  • Confident delivering lessons independently
  • Reliable, organised and proactive
  • PE graduates and sports coaches strongly encouraged to apply
