Secondary Teaching Assistant
Job type: Full-time, long-term
Location: Mainstream secondary school, Oldham
Responsibilities
- In-class support alongside the class teacher in core subjects
- Working with small groups to reinforce learning and exam skills
- Supporting behaviour, focus and engagement in lessons
- Helping pupils prepare for assessments and GCSE exams
Requirements (must-have)
- At least 1 full academic year\'s experience in a UK mainstream secondary school
- Confident supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 lessons
- Strong behaviour management and classroom support skills
- Minimum Level 2/3 TA qualification or degree (or in final year of study)
- Good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Desirable
- Experience supporting small groups for GCSE intervention
- Experience supporting pupils with mild SEND within a mainstream classroom
