Job Advert: Early Years Practitioner Location: Cambridgeshire Position: Full-Time, Part-Time About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant team in a well-established Early Years setting in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on young children's development. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children in their early years, fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment. You will work closely with colleagues to support children's social, emotional, and educational development, ensuring they are ready to take their next steps in learning. Key Responsibilities: Support children's learning and development through play-based activities that promote key areas of development, including language, motor skills, and socialisation Plan and implement activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Observe and assess children's progress, recording observations and sharing with parents and team members Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and independence Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment that meets the needs of all children Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure a high standard of care and education Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and development Assist with daily routines, such as mealtimes, nappy changes, and outdoor playAbout You: Proven experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally within a nursery, preschool, or reception class A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development Passionate about supporting children's learning and development Patient, caring, and able to create a positive, nurturing environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and engage with parents A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent) is desirable Experience in supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essentialWhy Join Us?
