TimePlan are currently recruiting Nursery Assistants to support a variety of Early Years settings across the KT16 area and surrounding locations. These opportunities offer flexible day-to-day work, with immediate and ongoing start dates available. Please note: while work is flexible, candidates must be able to commit to full-day shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm when required.

We are seeking reliable, professional individuals who are passionate about supporting the development of children aged 0-5 years and committed to delivering high-quality care and education. Applications are welcome from:

  • Unqualified candidates with relevant experience
  • Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioners

All applicants should demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Nursery Assistants will play a key role in supporting daily routines, engaging children in EYFS-based activities, and creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Experience within nurseries, preschools, schools, nannying, or childcare settings is highly desirable.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting daily routines within the nursery environment
  • Assisting with activities aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • Supporting observations and contributing to children's development
Candidate Requirements
  • Unqualified (with experience)
  • Previous experience in a nursery, school, or childcare setting
  • Good understanding of early childhood care and development
  • Confident supporting children aged 0-5
  • Level 2 Qualified
  • Recognised Level 2 Early Years qualification
  • Ability to support structured activities and daily routines
  • Level 3 Qualified (One of the following or equivalent)
  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development (EYE pathway)
  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education (DCE)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
