We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team, supporting young people aged 11-18 with complex needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about helping young people thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with complex needs (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and additional learning needs)
  • Support students both in and out of the classroom
  • Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and engagement in learning
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

Qualifications

  • Has previous experience as an LSA or similar role working with children or young people with complex needs
  • Is calm, empathetic, and adaptable
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with students
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting young people's wellbeing
