We are recruiting energetic and motivated Sports Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Havering, supporting pupils both in the classroom and through physical education and sport.

Your Role Will Include:
  • Supporting pupils during PE lessons, sports activities, and interventions
  • Assisting with the delivery of structured PE sessions and extracurricular clubs
  • Supporting pupils in class to remain focused and engaged with learning
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups, including pupils with additional needs
  • Promoting teamwork, confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils during transitions, playtimes, and enrichment activities
  • Acting as a positive role model and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles
Pay & Hours
  • £88.95 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, term-time only
  • Typical hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
What We’re Looking For
  • Sports graduates or individuals with a strong interest in PE and physical activity
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and confident role models
  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour support
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An interest in inclusion, SEND, and pupil wellbeing
  • Experience working with children or young people (sports coaching, tutoring, youth work, camps, or schools) is highly desirable
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
