TimePlan Education are currently recruiting for a strong and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a supportive mainstream primary school in Wallington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated TA who has a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs and is passionate about helping children thrive within a mainstream classroom setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support children's academic, social, and emotional development
- Implement strategies to support individual learning needs
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support effective behaviour management strategies
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
- Confident supporting children with varying additional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
Desirable
- Childcare Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (not essential)
