Location: Hackney, East London. Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term. Start Date: September 2026.

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive all-through SEN school in Hackney from September.

The school caters for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and provides a nurturing environment where students are supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including MLD and SLD.
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and support.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop independence and social skills.
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
