We are currently recruiting a dependable and proactive Premises Supervisor to join a Primary School based in Harrow on a full‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills who can help maintain a safe, secure, and well‑presented school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the school premises
- Assisting with opening and closing the school site
- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Conducting regular health and safety checks
- Ensuring the site remains clean, tidy, and hazard‑free
- Supervising cleaning staff and external contractors when required
- Setting up rooms and equipment for school activities and events
- Monitoring stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring timely repairs
- Assisting with security procedures and emergency protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Premises Supervisor, Caretaker, or Facilities role preferred
- Good practical and DIY skills
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Enhanced DBS check preferred
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm or split shifts if required; full‑time hours.
