An outstanding secondary school in East London is looking to secure a Head's PA to support the Executive Head Teacher of a high achieving Secondary School.

The school is larger than average and very supportive of their staff, always striving to enhance their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfil." The school has great public transport links nearby, with a railway station and tube station both only a 10 minute walk from the school.

This high achieving school, based on the borders of Essex/East London, is looking to secure a Headteacher's PA to start as soon as possible on an ongoing temp/perm basis.

The main duties will include:

  • Diary and Gatekeeping: Managing the headteacher's complex calendar, scheduling appointments, and prioritising urgent matters.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the first point of contact for the headteacher, fielding calls and emails from parents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Meeting and Event Management: Preparing agendas, taking formal minutes at Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or Governor meetings, and coordinating school events like assemblies or parent forums.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assisting with statutory returns, producing briefing papers, and preparing documentation for school inspections (e.g., Ofsted in the UK).
  • Confidentiality: Handling sensitive school, staff, and student data with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Project and HR Support: Assisting with recruitment, staff development, and various ad-hoc executive projects.

Experience needed:

  • Previous track record working in a Personal Assistant position within a school, college, or university setting.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Advanced in all MS Office packages.
  • Self-motivated.
