A Good Secondary School based in Camden is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of DT Teacher to start in September 2026.

The School

This academy school located in the borough of Islington, are looking to recruit a Head of DT to join their team in September. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Through a large investment, the school has recently completed their rebuild and the facilities are fantastic. This larger than average school are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them to contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfil." The school has great public transport links nearby with a railway station and tube station both only a 10 minute walk from the school.

Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful department. They are looking to appoint a talented and dynamic Head of DT who will be responsible for leading and teaching DT to KS3 - KS5. You will be working alongside a large and very supportive team to work closely together to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to reach their own individual goals. With varying levels of experience within the department, both experienced DT and Newly Qualified (NQT) DT Teachers are welcomed to apply for this post. The role is to start in September 2026.

To be considered for this DT Teacher role you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in DT
  • Experience teaching DT KS3, KS4 and KS5
