TimePlan Education is proud to be supporting a well‑established and inclusive secondary academy in Wellingborough with the recruitment of a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, particularly those who may face barriers to learning. You'll play a vital role in helping students build confidence, develop key skills and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role
- Working closely with the school's Accelerated Learning Team, you will provide targeted support to students through a combination of classroom assistance, intervention work and pastoral support.
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Providing in‑class support for pupils with additional needs, including SEMH, ADHD and ASD.
- Helping students regulate behaviour, build resilience and re‑engage positively with learning.
- Delivering targeted interventions and adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and intervention outcomes.
- Supporting SEND processes and liaising with families, external agencies and professionals where required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and the SENCO to promote inclusion and remove barriers to learning.
