An outstanding Secondary School located in the London Borough of Hackney is looking to secure an ICT Technician to start asap on an ongoing assignment.
About the School
This school is an outstanding non‑selective secondary school located in the London borough of Hackney. They have been an outstanding school for the last decade and have consistently achieved excellent exam results, putting them in the top 5% for student progress. Many of the children who attend the school go to study at Russell‑brick universities. They have fantastic modern facilities in a university campus layout, extensive IT facilities, large outdoor playing fields and one of the largest post 16 centres in London.
Responsibilities
- Managing computer hardware, software, and systems within the school and providing technical support to the school network to ensure effective IT provision for both curriculum and administrative purposes.
- Providing advice to other Facilities and staff on purchase of appropriate equipment to meet identified needs.
- Identifying and installing hardware and software to develop school systems in line with changing technology.
- Maintaining and actioning an effective helpdesk system, ensuring that tasks are logged, and effective feedback promptly provided.
- Assisting in the resolution of network problems, maintaining and repairing hardware and software to enable the smooth running of all school IT systems.
- Becoming familiar with the needs of pupils and staff so that appropriate ICT hardware and software is available at the right time and place for teaching purposes.
