1:1 Teaching Assistant job available in Basingstoke. This school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their school for the summer term to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis.

Supporting the pupil in Year 3, this role will be initially until the end of the academic year in July with the potential for a role in September. Working on a 1:1 basis, this pupil has an EHCP in place and needs additional support with communication and interaction. They have a diagnosis of ASD and delays with their speech and language. Communication tends to be single words or short phrases and some non-verbal gestures.

Academically, the pupil is working within the Year 1 curriculum and needs repetition and practice due to memory and processing difficulties. Socially and emotionally, they need support in regulating emotions and sensory needs.

This is a full-time Teaching Assistant job, in the heart of Basingstoke. This is within easy reach of public transport and driving. This role would be suitable for someone ideally with previous experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with ASD. The right candidate will have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be happy to request one.
