Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a primary school before pursuing teacher training, educational psychology or another child-focused career? TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Havering that are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your classroom skills, work alongside experienced teachers and make a real difference to children's learning and development.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
- Help children develop confidence in English, Maths and Phonics
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required
- Assist teachers with classroom preparation, behaviour management and lesson delivery
- Foster a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

About You
- We're looking for graduates who hold a degree (or are due to graduate in Summer 2026)
- Are passionate about working with children and supporting their development
- Are enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can commit to a full-time, term-time role from September 2026
- Previous experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering or school placements is beneficial but not essential.
