TimePlan Education are working with Secondary Schools across East London who are looking to secure a pool of regular supply Cover Supervisors to start in December 2025 to cover any short term sickness/absences.
The role of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervising the cover work set by the absent teacher
- Ensuring the children have the required resources and knowledge to complete the work set by the teacher
- Managing the behaviour of pupils during the lesson to ensure all work is completed to a high standard
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies
- Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher/department.
What experience do you need to apply for the Cover Supervisor position:
- Experience of working within a school setting (ideally Secondary)
- Bachelors Degree/Equivalent (desired)
- An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service
- Two teaching related references from last two employers
