We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 (Year 2) Class Teacher to join our school in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on the learning and development of primary school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating an engaging learning environment, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.
Planning is already in place and the school is looking for a teacher to commit to the delivery of lessons. This is a temporary job from February 2026 initially until the end of the academic year. This is a part-time position 2 days a week, either Monday and Tuesday or Tuesday and Wednesday. This job has become available due to maternity leave within the school.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver effective lessons that meet the national curriculum guidelines for Year 2.
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with specific educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' overall development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
