Art & Technology Technician - Outstanding Secondary School (North London)

Full-Time Term-Time Only + 5 Days ASAP 2026

We are seeking an Art & Technology Technician to join a highly regarded secondary school in North London, supporting the Art and Technology departments and helping teachers and students deliver engaging and successful practical lessons.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career within education, with applications welcomed from both recent graduates and experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare classrooms, equipment, materials and resources for practical lessons
  • Provide technical support to the Art and Technology departments
  • Ensure equipment is safe, functioning correctly and ready for lessons
  • Manage and maintain stock, materials and department resources
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities
  • Assist with media resources and displays
  • Provide frontline IT and general administrative support
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across practical areas
  • Keep workshops, classrooms and equipment clean, organised and well maintained

What We're Looking For:

  • An interest or experience in Art, Technology, Design or a practical subject
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A practical, proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage resources effectively
  • Confidence working with equipment, materials and basic IT systems
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people

Salary: NJC Pay Scale 4-6, 32,442- 38,637 per annum, depending on experience. Actual salary for term-time only + 5 days is 28,868- 34,381.

Contract: One year in the first instance Hours: 35 hours per week, term time + 5 days Start: ASAP Location: North London
