Catering Teacher – SEMH School – Christchurch – ASAP Start We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Catering Teacher to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Christchurch. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible. About the Role: Deliver engaging and practical catering lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs. Plan and deliver lessons that develop essential cooking and hospitality skills, promoting independence and confidence. Manage a positive and inclusive classroom environment, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to ensure the well-being and progress of students. Encourage and support students in achieving relevant qualifications. About You: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but candidates with relevant experience and vocational qualifications in catering or hospitality will be considered. Experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional learning requirements is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
