We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Bushey. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and complex learning needs, helping them to engage positively with education.
Role Details:
- Location: Bushey
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Contract: Term time only
- Pay: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with SEMH and complex needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students
- Encouraging engagement and participation in learning
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
DBS Information:
If you do not currently hold a DBS on the Update Service, you must be willing to apply for one. A refund can be issued after 20 days of working.
