TimePlan Education is seeking a confident and reliable Maths Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong mathematics background who are looking to gain classroom experience and make a positive impact on students' learning within supportive and dynamic school environments.

The Role

  • Supervise Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-planned Maths work and ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons
  • Support students in understanding tasks and encourage confidence in their mathematical learning
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment while managing behaviour effectively
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress, engagement, and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience teaching or delivering Maths lessons within a secondary school setting is essential
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required; applications are welcomed from unqualified teachers, instructors, cover supervisors, tutors, and graduates with relevant Maths teaching experience
  • A strong understanding of Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour effectively
  • Passionate about supporting students' progress and achievement in Mathematics
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments
  • Available from September 2026
