TimePlan Education is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Barking & Dagenham seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately on a long-term, full-time basis.

This exciting opportunity is based within the school's Inclusion Unit - a purpose-built, multi-functional facility designed to provide targeted support for students who may require additional educational or emotional assistance.

You will be joining a highly experienced and supportive team of nine Behaviour Mentors and Assistant Behaviour Mentors whose mission is to help students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and build the skills and self-belief needed for long-term success.

The Role:

  • Providing behavioural, emotional, and academic support to students
  • Working collaboratively with staff to implement behaviour and support plans
  • Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult for students
  • Supporting students to develop emotional resilience and positive behaviour strategies
  • Maintaining a calm, structured, and nurturing environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting young people in a school or alternative provision setting
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude
