We are currently recruiting for an experienced British Sign Language (BSL) Tutor to join a specialist primary school in Barnet from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled BSL practitioner who is passionate about supporting communication and language development for deaf and hearing-impaired children.
The Role:
- Deliver high-quality British Sign Language tuition and support.
- Promote effective communication across the school environment.
- Support pupils in developing confidence and independence through BSL.
- Work closely with teaching staff and specialist professionals.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Recognised British Sign Language qualification (Level 2, 3, 4 or above).
- Strong BSL communication skills.
- Experience working with deaf or hearing-impaired children is desirable.
- Experience within education, SEND or specialist settings is advantageous.
- A patient, flexible and proactive approach.
