This large secondary school located in the borough of Redbridge, are looking to recruit an Art Teacher to join their team from November. The Senior Leadership Team have the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. The school have undergone many changes over the years, but at the heart they remain a school with traditional values.
The Senior Leadership Team are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that \”Leaders place great importance on developing the whole child. They have high expectations on pupil\’s behaviour, and students do behave well, showing respect towards each other and towards adults.\”

ART TEACHER
Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful Creative Arts department. The department believe that the creative arts are subjects that can help us to understand and give meaning to the world we live in. Through their curriculum they aim to provide students with an experience that is exciting and ensure that all students combine practical and technological skills with creative thinking. They support students in learning to co-operate and negotiate and be able to share good practice and learn from others. They develop students awareness of the impact of the Creative Arts on society and expect them to achieve by applying a variety skills from the wider curriculum together with those specifically learned in the specialist subjects. The successful candidate will be required to teach Art to KS3 and KS4.
The role will begin in November and will be covering a one year maternity leave.
Qualifications
To be considered for this Art Teacher role you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE in Art
- Experience teaching Art to KS3 and KS4
- The desire to join a very successful department and school
