TimePlan Education is working in partnership with a secondary school based in Walsall seeking a full time Art Teacher to begin with them in September 2025. This is a temp to perm position and can involve some SLT responsibilities for the right person if they wanted to stay on with the school.

The experienced Art Teacher will require:

  • To deliver engaging lessons to the children in key stage 3 & 4
  • Previous Art teaching experience is desirable
  • ECTs are welcome to apply and unqualified Art Teachers - MUST HAVE UK TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN SCHOOLS
  • Provide support to children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating fully
  • Work closely with the classroom TA/support
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist in assessing children's progress and reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults alike
  • Experience working within education, QTS is desired
  • Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with children who have diverse learning needs within mainstream environments
  • Previous experience working with children in various settings is advantageous
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey.
