1:1 Learning Support Assistant Location: Crumpsall Salary: £97-£110 per day, dependent on experience Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Start Date: Immediate Start Build relationships. Are you a patient, resilient and proactive Learning Support Assistant who enjoys building meaningful relationships with young people and helping them develop confidence and independence? This highly regarded specialist secondary school, part of an established academy trust, has an excellent reputation of supporting students to achieve their potential. Many students progress into further education, training and employment. The school supports Key Stage 3 and 4 students, all with EHCPs and a range of needs including ASC, ADHD and SEMH. The Role This is a rewarding 1:1 Learning Support Assistant opportunity, supporting a small number of students throughout their school day. You will build strong, trusting relationships and provide consistent support both on-site and during off-site community visits, including trips to the library, sports centre and other local facilities. A full UK driving licence is essential. Access to your own vehicle is required, be comfortable transporting students and hold appropriate business insurance. Key Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support to secondary-aged students Support students with ASC, ADHD and SEMH Build positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement Support emotional regulation, behaviour and independence Accompany students on off-site visits and community activities Develop students' life, social and employability skills Support learning and achievement of EHCP outcomes Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN/pastoral teamThe Ideal Candidate Previous experience supporting young people with SEN/additional needs Experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH desirable Patient, resilient and consistent Strong communication and relationship-building skills Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Willing to transport students with business insurance Team Teach or similar behaviour training desirableWhy This School?
