TimePlan Education is seeking a caring, resilient, and committed full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Northstowe, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to students with Autism (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and other additional needs.

About the role

In this full-time position, you will work as part of an experienced and supportive team, helping pupils access learning, develop life skills, and build confidence. Responsibilities include:

  • One-to-one and small-group support for students with ASD, MLD, SLD and associated needs
  • Assisting with structured learning activities and communication support
  • Supporting pupils with sensory needs, emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet EHCP targets

What we are looking for

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (ASD, MLD, SLD or complex needs highly desirable)
  • A patient, positive and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication, resilience and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs
  • Reliable transport is highly desirable due to school location
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
