TimePlan are working with a SEMH school based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This role is Full Time, Monday to Friday, Term time only. The school can offer temp to perm. They are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. The school provides quality and personalised education for young people between the ages of 11 and 16 with on-going social, emotional, and mental health needs. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and personal development. You will work closely with the dedicated team of staff to create a positive learning environment, which fosters independence, confidence, and social skills.
Responsibilities
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to support their learning and development.
- Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet individual student needs.
- Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Provide support during extracurricular activities and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Requirements
- A caring and compassionate nature, with a passion for working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
