We are recruiting a Re-engagement Mentor to support secondary students who may be at risk of disengagement from learning. This role would suit someone with strong relationship-building skills and experience supporting young people in a pastoral or educational setting. You will help students re-enter lessons, stay motivated, and overcome barriers to attendance and participation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine impact.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting young people with attendance, behaviour or engagement needs.
  • Strong mentoring and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and student support.
  • Enhanced DBS and references.

Key responsibilities

  • Support students with attendance and engagement.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships.
