TimePlan are working with a SEMH school based in Northampton, Northamptonshire. They are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. The school provides quality and personalised education for young people between the ages of 11 and 16 with ongoing social, emotional, and mental health needs. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and personal development. You will work closely with the dedicated team of staff to create a positive learning environment, which fosters independence, confidence, and social skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individual students or small groups of students to support their learning and development.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet individual student needs.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Provide support during extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
