We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. The school, based in Havering, caters to children and young adults from 5 to 18 years old with varied needs, such as PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis with their learning development and care needs while at school.
  • Assist with personal care as required.
  • Work effectively with a diverse group of pupils and colleagues.
  • Maintain a valid DBS, registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Commit to working five days a week and be available for at least 1–6 months.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Experience in a school‑based or care‑based environment with basic knowledge of supporting personal care needs.
  • Valid DBS, registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Availability five days a week and commitment to at least 1–6 months.
