TimePlan Education are pleased to be working with welcoming primary schools across Barking and Dagenham seeking passionate EYFS Teaching Assistants to join them from September 2026 for the full academic year! This EYFS Teaching Assistant role will see you supporting children within Nursery and Reception, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and positive learning environment during the most important stages of early development.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates holding a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education, or graduates whose degree is recognised as equivalent to a Level 3 EYFS qualification.
The Role:- Supporting children within Nursery and Reception classes
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
- Supporting pupils through play-based and structured learning
- Helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically
- Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom preparation and daily routines
- Hold a Level 3 EYFS/Childcare qualification, or a degree recognised as equivalent
- Have previous experience working with young children, either formally or informally
- Have a warm, proactive, and nurturing approach
- Be passionate about supporting children in the early stages of education
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be considering a long‑term career within education or childcare
- Competitive daily rates paid weekly in arrears, starting from £92 per day
