TimePlan are currently recruiting Nursery Assistants to support a variety of Early Years settings across the KT16 area and surrounding locations. These opportunities offer flexible day‑to‑day work, with immediate and ongoing start dates available. Please note: while work is flexible, candidates must be able to commit to full-day shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm when required.

We are seeking reliable, professional individuals who are passionate about supporting the development of children aged 0–5 years and committed to delivering high‑quality care and education. Applications are welcome from:

  • Unqualified candidates with relevant experience
  • Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioners

All applicants should demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Nursery Assistants will play a key role in supporting daily routines, engaging children in EYFS-based activities, and creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Experience within nurseries, preschools, schools, nannying, or childcare settings is highly desirable.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily routines within the nursery environment
  • Assisting with activities aligned with the EYFS framework

Candidate Requirements

  • Unqualified (with experience)
  • Previous experience in a nursery, school, or childcare setting
  • Good understanding of early childhood care and development
  • Confident supporting children aged 0–5
  • Level 2 Qualified
  • Recognised Level 2 Early Years qualification
  • Ability to support structured activities and daily routines
  • Level 3 Qualified – One of the following (or equivalent)
  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development (EYE pathway)
  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education (DCE)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
