The Role
- Shape the school’s strategic vision in collaboration with the Director of Education.
- Lead and inspire a team of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across all subjects.
- Foster a positive and structured school culture, ensuring pupils feel safe, valued, and supported.
- Develop and implement effective school policies and processes.
- Oversee school improvement plans, identifying and addressing barriers to success.
- Ensure that pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs receive the support they need.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to create a holistic support network for each child.
- Maintain compliance with Independent School Standards and safeguarding regulations.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and a relevant degree.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience within a school setting.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
- A proven track record of school improvement and staff development.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and build positive relationships.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the wellbeing of all students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for bettering the lives of children and young people who require help and educational support.
- NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) or NPQSL (Senior Leadership).
- Experience in specialist SEMH provisions or alternative education settings.
- Knowledge of school finance and resource management.
- SENCo qualification.
