Location: Remote

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Commission (10% of any commission, for the life of the customer)

About the Role:

Our client, an energy consultancy, is seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager to support continued growth. The business specialises in energy procurement, risk management, and bureau services, supporting organisations. The role is suited to a Business Development Manager driving new business opportunities and revenue with experience working with energy consultancies, TPI or energy suppliers. Operating within a competitive market, selling to commercial clientele. This role does not sell to the domestic market and candidates with commercial and non-domestic clients will only be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities through a proactive go-to-market strategy
  • Focus on opportunities where the business can add the greatest value within its ideal client profile
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, taking ownership of all stages
  • Present complex energy solutions in a clear, simple, and compelling way
  • Ensure clients feel supported by experts throughout the sales journey

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience within an energy supplier or TPI
  • Experience selling energy procurement, risk management, and bureau services
  • Proven track record of new business delivery
  • Strong commercial awareness with problem-solving capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and perform under pressure
  • Self-driven with the ability to own and deliver against targets
  • Forward-thinking, challenger mindset with the confidence to shape the role
  • Experience delivering webinars, seminars, or similar events
